Partnerships between parents/carers, students and schools promote student learning, wellbeing and high expectations for student success. To have a significant impact on student outcomes, communication needs to be focused on student learning and wellbeing. 
Ways to support your teenager’s learning :
1. Keep up-to-date by reading information provided by 
the school (e.g. newsletters, emails, social media) and 
attending events whenever possible (e.g. information 
evenings, parent/teacher interviews, P&C meetings).
2. Talk with your teenager about their goals and 
aspirations  and communicate high but realistic 
expectations about their education and career.
3. Ask your child about their learning and school day. Ask 
them what they enjoyed most about their school day or 
the most interesting thing they learned. This shows your 
child that you are interested in their learning and their 
wellbeing.
4. Access local services including local community health 
services, parenting programs and libraries that can 
support your child’s learning and development.
Communication Methods:
Parents/carers may request a meeting time with class teachers via emailing the teacher directly or making contact with school administration.
Daily communication between home and school occurs via an RSS Communication Diary / email. 
Preferred communication methods can be negotiated with class teachers.
Phone calls during school hours are limited due to teaching being underway.
